Donuts and Development | Data Centers: The Facts, the Process & the Impact

Data center development is becoming an increasingly important topic in communities across Washington and the Pacific Northwest. But what does a data center bring to a community, what does it take to develop one, and what protections are in place?

Join TRIDEC for a special Donuts & Development focused on the facts behind data center development. This conversation will bring together voices from communities who have experience with data centers, labor representatives, utility experts and the agency responsible for regulating them.

Together, we’ll explore the development process, infrastructure, water and energy considerations, workforce and economic impacts, and the regulatory framework that guides these projects.

The goal isn’t to advocate for or against data centers. It’s to provide our community with information, perspectives and facts to better understand what data center development can mean for a community. Because informed communities start with informed conversations.

Featured Speakers:
City of Richland: Joe Schiessl, Deputy City Manager
