We are excited to announce that TRIDEC is partnering with the cities of Kennewick, Richland and Pasco to co-host community meetings to discuss the proposed Columbia River Shoreline Reconveyance.

As background, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers currently owns most of the Columbia River shoreline throughout the Tri-Cities, including the parks (which are operated by the cities under long-term leases), levees, and other infrastructure. The proposed reconveyance would transfer ownership of the land back to the cities through federal legislation.

The intention of these meetings is to provide attendees with an overview of what is being considered, and to seek out public comment.
