Donuts & Development | Hanford Outlook

Join community leaders, industry stakeholders, and economic development partners for Donuts and Development: Hanford Outlook, a timely conversation focused on the future of the Hanford Site cleanup, workforce opportunities, and the broader economic impact on the Tri-Cities region.

The Hanford Site is one of the most significant federal environmental cleanup efforts in the United States. Spanning roughly 580 square miles in southeastern Washington, this complex project employs thousands of workers and drives billions in federal investment each year. The Hanford Outlook will explore current progress, emerging challenges, and future opportunities, with a focus on how cleanup activities support the regional economy, workforce retention, innovation, and long-term resilience.

As Hanford’s cleanup continues to evolve, from vitrification plant milestones to the next phases of soil and groundwater remediation, the Tri-Cities community faces both opportunities and transition. This event serves as a critical forum to understand how cleanup strategies intersect with economic development, workforce planning, and the region’s long-term stability.
