Coffee with Karl: 2021 Housing Outlook
Join us for a special Coffee with Karl Series: Tri-Cities Regional Economic Outlook! This 7 week series will cover topics that are important to the Tri-Cities Economy.
Housing activity and the residential construction associated with it are key elements of the local, state and national economies. In addition to providing shelter, housing provides jobs, revenue and taxes.
Locally, the construction industry makes up 9.1% of our non-farm employment (December 2020) and has recovered 100% of the jobs lost during the pandemic. Single family residential (SFR) building permits increased 52.65% from 2015-2020 and the permit evaluation amount increased 51.80% during that same period.
During our fourth episode of the series, hear from Tri-City Association of Realtor’s Board President, John Keltch, and HBA’s Executive Director, Jeff Losey, on how the Tri-Cities housing industry was impacted by COVID-19 and how it is leading the recovery and rebuilding efforts of the Tri-Cities economy.
SPECIAL GUEST:
